Welcome to TheAndersonReport. This TAR website was built with you in mind. I wanted a place where you could find a few fascinating things, with a few practicalities thrown in to be reasonable.
TheAndersonReport strives to be eclectic. We offer breaking news from across the country and around the world. I dare say we’re not so bodacious as to have “all the news that’s fit to print.” But we do have news you can use to stay current—and stay a bit ahead of the curve.
That attempt has taken me all over the curvature of the globe, from the wars in the Middle East, to reporting on and running from pirates off the coast of East Africa, to telling our children stories about the wonders of our shared world.
There’s always a surprise waiting for you on Earth. When I left to report on the Afghanistan war in 2010, a Lutheran pastor told me a “divine appointment” was waiting for me there. I was surprised. But I never thought getting kick out of Afghanistan for reporting adverse news on the war would be it. But they say: God moves in mysterious ways.
That unjust termination started a good fight—a necessary fight for the civil rights of embed reporters who bring us critical news from the front lines. After two years of begging and fighting with the Army and being placated by politicians, a law suit was the only way left to get justice. So, with the help of many wonderful people, I (“we”) filed a law suit in the U.S. District Court, DC on July 25, 2012.
You can read the case of Anderson vs. Gates (case number 1:12-cv-01243) here on TheAndersonReport. I provided a link to the case for your convenience. Please feel free to join us in this cause, by corresponding with me or submitting your views to the court. You send your amicus views to:

If you too need a break from legal and other the heavy news, then consider a healthy hobby. Get the buzz on bees, which is a sweet favorite of mine. I now have a blog called Buzz on Bees, which is featured in The Washington Times Communities section. Not only are they busy, God’s greatest little pollinators will teach you more than wise Solomon himself. Click on here to get the Buzz on Bees. http://communities.washingtontimes.com/neighborhood/buzz-bees/
Do you have kids, or enjoy remaining a kid? Then wonder and wander with Wormy & Squirmy, the worm duo that travel the world in amazement and find trouble and delight in all four corners. A brain of any age is a great thing to wrinkle.
TheAndersonReport is here for the big and small, young or old. There are lots of interesting topics here, and lots more out there ready to come aboard. What’s your pleasure? If we don’t have it—we’ll get it. You just say the word!
Thanks for dropping by. You comments and criticisms are most welcome. Let us have it! In the meantime enjoy TheAndersonReport. Find out what’s happening in your world and shake it up a bit. But never forget to enjoy it.

Did you know Wayne began his career at a newspaper?
His first job was working for publishing giant William Randolph Hearst at the Los Angeles Herald Examiner. Of course the journalistic adage, "never let the truth get in the way of a good story" applies here. In 1962, Wayne was a 7-year-old paper boy and Mr. Hearst was dead. But all of the other facts are true.
