Welcome Message
Welcome to The Anderson Report. Nice of you to drop by. This website was built with you in mind. I wanted a place where you could peruse and find a few fascinating and provocative things, with a few practicalities thrown in to be reasonable.
As you will see, The Anderson Report is eclectic. We have breaking news from across the country and around the world. I dare say we’re not so bodacious as to have “all the news that’s fit to print.” But we do have news you can use to stay current—and stay a bit ahead of the curve.
Enjoy my newspaper column, published in the Inter-County Leader. I started in journalism in 1984 and continue to opine on everything from politics to education to religion to global warming and cooling. You can view photos and read the soldier’s story from Iraq, where I was recently embedded for a month with the 1157th Transportation Company. My column spans the spectrum; it’s a rainbow coalition.
Need a break from the news? Try a healthy hobby. Get the buzz on beekeeping, a sweet favorite of mine. Or get next to the earth and grow some grapes. We grow them cold-hardy here in northwest Wisconsin. Do you have kids, or enjoy remaining a kid? Then wonder and wander with Wormy & Squirmy, the worm duo that travel the world in amazement and find trouble and delight in all four corners. A brain of any age is a great thing to wrinkle.
The Anderson Report is here for the big and small, young or old. There are lots of interesting topics here, and lots more out there ready to come aboard. What’s your pleasure? If we don’t have it—we’ll get it. You just say the word!
Thanks for dropping by. Your comments and criticisms are most welcome. Let us have it! In the meantime enjoy The Anderson Report. Find out what’s happening in your world, shake it up a bit. And never forget to enjoy a part of it.

Did you know Wayne began his career at a newspaper?
His first job was working for publishing giant William Randolph Hearst at the Los Angeles Herald Examiner. Of course the journalistic adage, "never let the truth get in the way of a good story" applies here. In 1962, Wayne was a 7-year-old paper boy and Mr. Hearst was dead. But all of the other facts are true.
